Hard Hair Productions creates, develops, writes and produces performing and media arts projects. Our mission is to entertain, inform, educate, to collaborate with and serve a diverse group of artists in order to culturally enrich the community at large with special emphasis on the African Diaspora. JOYCE GUY, director, producer, performer and choreographer has a BS in Drama Education from Hampton University, Virginia. Joyce was a Dance Program Specialist for the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, DC for five years. She has served as a site consultant for the National Endowment for the Arts and a panelist for the California Arts Council, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Department of Cultural Affairs in Los Angeles and the Durfee Foundation. In the January 1, 1992 issue of the Los Angeles Times she was featured as one of the “People to Watch in 92”. Joyce was awarded a 1992 grant from the LA Arts Recovery Program. In 1994 she received a Theater Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a 1994 and 1998 Artist in the Community grant from the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department and a 2008 Durfee Foundation ARC Grant. She has also worked with Playwrights Project Life Stories a program with senior citizens, the Playwrights in the Schools program for A.S.K. Theater Projects, Mark Taper Forum’s New Works Festival, On the Front Lines: The Soldier’s Voices Project and attended the La Mama Playwrights Retreat in Umbria, Italy. Over the years has studies ballet, jazz and modern dance; and West African (Senegalese, Guinea and Mali) for over twenty years.

Mike Hoff is currently President of his own company, Hoff Consulting, specializing exclusively in consultation to nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he served for seven years as the Director of Consulting and Education Services at the Center for Nonprofit Management in Los Angeles. His experience includes ten years as an executive director for Boys’ Clubs of America, five years on the faculty at California State University, Long Beach, and over twenty five years as an organization and human resource development manager and consultant. He is the former head of organization development and training functions at Mattel Toys, Fluor Corporation, and Western Digital, and also held the position of Regional Director, Southern California, for the American Management Association. His consulting expertise includes organization, board, and staff development, strategic planning, change management, team development and performance management. Mike holds a B.S. degree in Economics and an M.S. degree in Recreation Administration from the University of Utah. A partial client list includes AIDS Project Los Angeles; Special Olympics – So. California; Musical Theatre West; Arts Council of Long Beach; and, Australians in Film and the Catalina Island Museum.
