For over 20 years, CCI has led the field in adapting core small business topics to artists’ lives. Our signature Business of Art program is designed to enhance the business skills of artists and entrepreneurs working across the creative disciplines. The Business of Art curriculum is rooted in the idea that your art business is driven by two elements: your core values and the people who value what you do. Our Business of Art: An Artist’s Guide to Profitable Self-Employment workbook has been used by artists and educators internationally to teach goal-setting, business models, marketing and self-promotion, money management, legal issues, strategic planning, and project financing.
Become an expert in the Business of Art curriculum so you can facilitate cohort-based learning in your community or institution.
In this 4-week workshop with former CCI Artists Knowledge Manager Allison Wyper, you will learn how to lead a group through the Business of Art experience. You will learn best practices and gain insight into what has made this program a model for the field. As a cohort, participants in this one-time program will test drive and contribute to CCI’s forthcoming Business of Art Facilitation Guide (working title), a publication for professional development organizers, coaches, and educators, and join our list of certified Business of Art experts.
